“Telling a year of projects at a time when we are imprisoned in a continuous present wants to be an important signal of restart not only for Milan but for the whole of Italy.” Stefano Boeri, President of Triennale Milano, chose these words to open the latest press conference of the institution. Press conference organized to present the program that will accompany us until the opening of the 23rd International Exhibition in May 2022.

Until October 15th, Triennial Summer will be back for its 2nd edition with the subtitle Collective Stories. Over 5 months of programming in the Triennale Garden: meetings, festivals, screenings, shows, concerts, performances, workshops for children, and many other activities. A hub for subjects and themes that contribute to fuel the interest and debate around the disciplines that are at the center of the Triennale’s activity. Also during the summer, from May 11th to July 21st, the 4th edition of the FOG Triennale Milano Performing Arts festival will be curated by Umberto Angelini. In the next few days, four highly anticipated exhibitions, ranging from design to architecture, from visual arts to crafts, will add to the large retrospective Enzo Mari, extended until September 12th.

The path that Triennale has started with A New European Bauhaus, a cycle of digital conferences born from the stimulus of the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen will continue based on the agenda of the European Commission project, of which Triennale is an official partner. The Triennale exhibition program will continue with the exhibitions that will open in the autumn. Among them, there are Saul Steinberg; Carlo Mollino; and Ten journeys into Italian architecture. Together with Fondation Cartier, the first solo show in Italy of the French director and photographer will be inaugurated Raymond Depardon, entitled Modern Life. From October to December, the Triennale Milano Theater with a look at contemporary Italian and international productions featuring established artists and emerging young people. Opening on May 20th, 2022, the 23ª International Exhibition, titled Unknown Unknowns. An Introduction to Mysteries, will close this year of cultural programming.
