On Friday afternoon, seven Roman luxury brands, with the aim to recreate a taste of  Rome in the rich Chinese Special Administrative Region of Hong Kong, took part in an ‘Expo + Dinner’ sponsored by the Lazio region within the “A Roman Experience!” project. Hong Kong has been chosen as the destination of the project for its indisputable economic availability, but also for its strong attraction to anything that is Italian.

The seven Roman family-owned companies, led by the Italian Chamber of Commerce, seduced the guests – including the owners of the most prestigious shopping centers of the region – with typical Italian products, ranging from wine to coffee slush, and with captivating images of their hometown. The Italian Consul in Hong Kong has personally greeted and presented the seven brands illustrating their characteristic identities:

Battistoni (menswear) – Since the opening of the first store in 1946, the name Battistoni has been associated with exquisite taste, extreme elegance, and high-end Italian craftsmanship.

Guema Barnaba (handbags) – Specialized in day and evening handbags, the brand was founded in 2014. All the products are conceived in the designer’s atelier in London and are manufactured in Italy with raw materials imported from all over the world.

L.G.R. (eyewear) – Founded in 2008, L.G.R. Produces glasses that are entirely handmade by skilled artisans, who build each frame from start to finish using traditional methods of production in order to deliver an authentic and noble product.

Patrizia Fabri (hats) –  With models for every day and all seasons of the year,Patrizia Fabri educates customers in the refined use of the hat. The wishes of the most demanding customers are granted with unique and special creations.

Sermoneta (gloves) – The leader in the world for Made in Italy gloves, Sermoneta was founded in 1965 and became a high fashion brand, characterized by its unique mix of style, tradition, and search of quality.

Tullia (women’s wear) – A high fashion tailor whose target is a refined, elegant, eccentric woman who always pays attention to quality and cut of prestigious textiles.
