Italdesign delivered the Zerouno bearing the chassis number #0001, the first of the five Zerouno planned for production, which have all already been sold to collectors from different parts of the world. The vehicle marks Italdesign’s entry into the elite of limited-edition automakers with its Automobili Speciali (“Special Cars”) division.
The Zerouno was delivered to Steven Lismont, an important automotive sector entrepreneur and car collector, from Belgium in the Italdesign Headquarter in Moncalieri (Turin), where it was created, tested, and validated to ensure an outstanding vehicle performance. Lismont had the opportunity to try his new car with a test drive of about 100 km around Moncalieri, and he commented: “I wasn’t expecting such a high-performance vehicle to be so easy and pleasant to drive. (…) This combination of craftsmanship, sportiness and everyday usability makes the Zerouno unique.” While, Italdesign’s CEO Jörg Astalosch, who delivered the car to Lismont said: “We are proud to have Steven as our first customer and to start a legacy with him. His feedback during the development and production was extremely important. Based on his experience we improved the ZeroUno further.”
Using a state of the art carbon-aluminum modular frame and a body made entirely out of carbon fiber, the ZeroUno is powered by a naturally aspirated Audi Sport V10 engine, with an intelligent all-wheel drive system and a dual-clutch 7-speed gearbox. It tops out at 330 km/h and does accelerate from zero to 100 Km/h in just 3.2 seconds.
