The historic Italian brand dedicated its latest Made in Italy motorcycle to the city of Milan.
Moto Morini will unveil its latest model at Eicma 2017, the cycle and motorcycle salon that will take place in Milan from 9 to 12 November. ‘Moto Morini Milano‘ – this is its full name -, is dedicated to the capital of fashion, elegance, luxury, and design: a great bike for a big city
‘Milano’ is a new take on classic Morini 3 1/2, which has been redesigned by Angel Lussiana, with bold lines that are also elegant and soft. The new model is powered by the Bialbero Corsa Corta 1187cc V-twin designed, and slightly modified to deliver a more relaxing ride, by Franco Lambertini – who also designed the 344cc V-twin for the 31/2in 1969. The engine is housed in a trellis frame familiar to Moto Morini fans, although it has been modified to be better handled even by less experienced riders. Safety is guaranteed by the ABS Bosch 9.1 MP system that can be switched off via a button on the switch-gear;
there is also a two-piston caliper biting a 220mm disc at the back. The tires feature 17 inches forged aluminum wheels and supplied by Pirelli. Despite the classic style, there’s a five-inch display up front providing all the information you need while riding.
Peculiarities of the new Moto Morini are the facts that every specimen can be personalized at the request of the buyer and that it is entirely designed and developed in Italy; the construction and craftsmanship that are at the heart of the ‘Milano’ are also Italian: every single piece, material, and component, is made by Italian companies– a true Made in Italy motorcycle.
