Luca Fiore the only Italian that has gained the right to play in the stations of the London Underground. He is 23, from Creazzo near Vicenza and has lived in the British capital for almost four years. After a long selection, he won Gigs2015, the competition held by the City of London for young musicians, in the category Soloists & Duets and was included in the shortlist of 300 busker allowed to perform in 42 authorized locations with the official permission of Transport for London. This is an excellent important stage: on average, every day, more than 4 million people ride the metro and buskers can book one or more two hour slots in different stations.
Fiore performs covers and original songs singing in English and his style is a rare mix of various music genres such as rock, fusion, pop, metal, bossa nova and classical music, with a subtle progressive approach. Lyrics are inspired by strong life experiences and meaningfully blended with some fine arrangements and intricate guitar lines. He regularly performs in London as a solo act and session player in prestigious venues such as The Palm Beach Casino and Café Royal. At his young age Fiore has already toured England, Ireland and Spain, opening for artists like Paolo Nutini and Paloma Faith at international festivals such as FIB and The DayTripper.
“Behind the Clouds” is the title of Luca Fiore’s first self-produced EP featuring his first single “I Drink Water”; it has just been released and it can be listenned directly from the artist’s website.
