Ferrari has released the first images and specifications of its new Ferrari 812 Superfast – its most powerful production car ever -, which will be launched at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
The Ferrari 812 Superfast’s power is outstanding – a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine that cranks out 789 horsepower can push it to 211 miles per hour, accelerating from 0-62mph in 2.9sec. This make it the most potent front-mounted engine fitted to a production car.
Ferrari’s new Side Slip Control technology will keep rear-wheel-drive car on the track, or road, while enhancing its agility and, together with the four-wheel steering, it will allow the driver to effectively keep all this power under control. The most noticeable features of the Ferrari 812 Superfast’s exterior design are its aggressive curves, new LED lights, a new grille and a prominent aerodynamic design with a beefier rear flank that provides a downward force at high speeds.
The release of the new powerful model coincides with the 70th anniversary of the Maranello company and in celebration of this event the two-door model will be presented in a new color called Rosso Settanta, specifically created for the occasion.
