In 2013, in Milan, Fendi dedicated an exhibition called ‘Making Dreams’ to the fashion house’s history with the cinema; now it is Rome’s turn. On the occasion of the twelfth edition of Rome Film Festival, Fendi will inaugurate ‘Fendi Studios’, an interactive exhibit that will run from October 27 to March 25 exploring the company’s longstanding relationship with the world of movies.
‘Fendi Studios’ will be held in the luxury group’s Rome headquarters, the Palazzo della Civiltà, which will be turned into a series of cinema studios comprising a series of interactive movie stages including also a real cinema. This will allow visitors to enjoy a digital experience “reinventing” the movies and entering “into the scenes” depicting Fendi’s celebrated creations.
The fashion house has created many important costumes for international movies, including the outfits worn by Silvana Mangano in Luchino Visconti’s 1974 film, ‘Gruppo di Famiglia in un Interno’ – distributed with the English title ‘Conversation Piece’- and those for ‘Evita’, ‘The Royal Tenenbaums’ and ‘The Age of Innocence’.
