In Turin Eataly Lingotto will celebrate with a big event its tenth anniversary on the evening of January 27, 2017. Thanks to the vision of Oscar Farinetti, in ten years Eataly has opened 33 stores in urban spaces subtracted to decay by bringing them to life with original hallmarks and continuing to promote the protection of the Italian culinary excellence.
The quotation on the stock exchange in 2018 will be announced at a press conference entitled “Tradition in the future” followed by a big dinner with ten Michelin starred chefs in the kitchen, including Massimo Bottura, from Osteria Francescana, the best restaurant in the world.
Eataly always emphasizes the geographical characteristics that make of each store a corner of the world: from January 27 to January 29 in Milan will take place the Raviolo Festival, with international cuisine offerings in Ravioleria Sarpi in China Town; in Florence on January 28 and 29 there will be the Street Food Festival, which aims at promote a mindful “food culture” in collaboration with Alleanza Cuochi di Slow Food.
The opening of the new Eataly in Trieste, in the former wine warehouse Riva Nazario Sauro, is scheduled for January 17. In Trieste next to the 3,000 sq m food market there will be Osteria dei Venti and the fish shop Fish Academy La Barcaccia. There will also be the most important wine shop of the region of Friuli Venezia Giulia – with 1,200 labels – and the Grand Bar Illy.
In Eataly’s future there is a further international expansion with a new store in Dubai and the opening in October 2017 of Fico Eataly World in Bologna. The format has attracted followers all over the world and there is the possibility of more openings by 2018 with the franchising formula.
