Our Barbaresco is made from grapes grown in Treiso d’Alba , one of the three towns that make up docg zone for this wine. The soil in this hilly area is composted of calcareous-clay. Rigorous pruning and carefully managed vegetation together with thinning out of the bunches in summer if necessary allows us to obtain grapes with excellent quality characteristics, indispensible for producing a great Barbaresco. The wine develops elegance and refinement during its two years of barrel ageing, allowing it to compare itself to its better known rival Barolo.
Garnet-red with ruby highlights
Barbaresco distinguishes itself with its delicate and persistent bouquet of spices and dried roses, not to mention notes of fresh and candied fruit.
The taste is dry and austere, deep and full-bodied. The tannins, in comparison with Barolo, are silkier and render this wine very pleasant and elegant while young, however, which doesn’t preclude the possibility of long bottle ageing.

Vinification: In temperature controlled stainless steel tanks, with daily pumping over for approximately 18-20 days. After decanting, when the maceration is finished, the wine completes its malo-lactic fermentation in stainless steel, prior to its ageing in wood.
Ageing: 2 years in Slavonian oak
Bottle Ageing: 6 months.
